Belinda's Business Future

Belinda will utilize the coming summer and school year to determine how she will integrate her passions, experiences, and abilities into a successful and inspiring career. While she is intrigued by the idea of owning her own business or pursuing a career in an advertising agency, Belinda is also contemplating a career in the corporate realm at an organization such as Gerber. After all, who wouldn't want to work in a company where you could be surrounded by the little miracles everyday?!
Whichever career path Belinda chooses to pursue, she will most probably end up in a position that will allow her bossy, organizing personality to go to work putting things in order! One thing Belinda is sure of is that she wants to integrate her career with her future desire to be a mother; therefore, it is important to her that she has a certain level of independence and flexibility in her schedule.

Continuing with the shared roomie desire to experience cultures, expand horizons, and explore the world, Belinda wants to one day travel to New Zealand and the Bahamas.

Adrianna's Architectural Future

Adrianna's future will be filled with creativity, innovation, collaboration, and enlightenment as she would like to become a professor, teaching sustainable practices and architectural theory and history. While she educates and mentors young minds, Adrianna will further fuel and utilize her imaginative and brilliant mind to research and create new sustainable designs and building systems.

As an Architect major, it is a necessity for Adrianna to expand and deepen her world views, discovering and experiencing as much diversity and cultures as possible. She will continue her world travels next year when she studies traditional and modern architecture abroad in Rome.

The top two culturally rich, exquisite, and captivating countries that Adrianna will visit in the future are Greece and Argentina. Greece for its crystal clear, brilliant waters, breath-taking beauty, and unmistakable architecture.

Argentina for its expansive variance of traditional and modern cities, gorgeous beaches, and alluring features of nature.

Trisha's Educational Future

Trisha will one day relatively soon become Ms. Teach to elementary students in either first, second, or third grade. Teaching is exciting during these times, as students are in the stage of life when extensive learning takes place. I mean, they learn how to read...
to write...
to add and subtract...

It's also a time when lessons already learned are reaffirmed, such as sharing with others...
expressing love...
and of course coloring!

Trisha also would love to take her exploration of life across seas...to Rome and Ireland where she would like to do literally everything possible.

There's the museums, the Vatican, the countryside, the ancient ruins, the tourist sites, the breathtaking cathedrals, the castles, the cities, the coasts...she wants to see it, hear it, smell it, taste it, touch it, and experience it all. The Teach is going to get educated!

Constance's Engineering Future

Constance has recently decided to alter her plans slightly, majoring in Chemical Engineering while obtaining a Spanish minor. She is ecstatic to report that this switch will allow her to focus on her true passions while shaving a semester off of the length of her undergraduate education.
While Constance has not yet decisively chosen her career path, she is intrigued by the operations and career options of integrated energy companies. She is currently most interested in working with the oil refinery process, but is keeping her options open. However, Constance would like to incorporate her Spanish knowledge and skills with engineering to further be an asset to a company, by either being able to do business within Spanish-speaking countries, or to communicate from within the company with customers, associates, etc. who speak Spanish.

The oil refinery process is outlined in the following diagram.

Venturing outside of the Chem-E field, Constance would love to utilize her Spanish minor upon graduating from college, by traveling across seas to Spain to completely immerse herself in the Spanish culture for a number of weeks. While she's there, Constance wants to not only take in the usual tourist destinations, such as Barcelona, Madrid, and Toledo, but to also explore the rich local traditions and expansive adventures Spain possesses by embracing as much of the intricacies and depth of the country as possible.

An extremely ambitious, textbook-loving nerd and a complete sweetheart, Constance's brilliant and adventurous future awaits in just one short year from now...and then truly world--look out!--'cuz this nerd is so coming for ya...

Gabby's Geological Future

Miss Gabby Geo has set her sights far...as in past the stratosphere, into outer space, amongst the asteroids, planets, and moons far! Rock on Star Trek nerd, rock on!! On her way to exploring the final frontier, Gabby will stop off at a prestigious graduate school for two years, such as Brown, to pursue her Masters in Planetary Geology. She will then continue on in her education for another four to five years to also obtain her P.h.D. in Planetary Geology.

After completing a Post-Doc, her ideal future would be becoming Professor Geo at a university where she can also continue her research, or to work at a research lab.

However, first things first...after graduating with her Bachelors degree in another year, Gabby plans to travel around the United Kingdom, making sure to visit all the homes and graves of past famous scientists, such as Darwin, Lyell, and Newton. And to spend at least a week in the British Museum of Natural History, as well as exploring all possible geologic haunts the UK possesses.

For now, she will continue to be my fiercely fabulous, rock and cat-loving roomie. One day, though, Gabby will undoubtedly make giant leaps in conquering the elusive final frontier.

Belinda's Experiences with Business

Belinda has not fully determined which direction her business degree is going to take her, so while at college, she has been pursuing insight for the future through various avenues. Through a leadership course, Belinda explored a life plan that would entail starting and running a high-end kitchen and home furnishings store, while integrating the store with a community involved, non-profit facet.

She is also currently completing a yearlong course that consisted of creating a new marketing campaign for a worldwide car company. Based upon extensive research, and requiring a comprehensive integration of creative executions and media planning and budgeting, the course has in many ways given Belinda direct perspective into a career in an advertising agency.

While Belinda has not been fully convinced of pursuing entrepreneurial or advertising routes, she is aware of the possibilities, the potential challenges, and the expected duties and work culture. She will continue exploring her options through her job this summer and next year's courses.

Adrianna's Adventures With the World's Artistic Elements

Fueled by the integration of science and art, Adrianna has delved into artistic and scientific ventures since coming to college. Embracing all aspects of the college life, she's one of the few who I've come across who is working to strengthen and deepen not only her mind and academic self, but her social, spiritual, and emotional selves as well.
A significant college experience for Adrianna was a course trip to Russia, where she spent two weeks marveling at the rich culture and bold, elaborate, intrinsically detailed art and architecture. She absolutely loved every moment of it, and the inspiration she gained from the journey has been apparent in a number of projects since she returned home.

Adrianna satisfies her scientific mind and compassionate heart by being a part of a national student organization that works to bring clean water to parts of Kenya. Raising awareness and funds, and developing engineering and architectural plans throughout the school year, the organization physically sends students to Kenya during winter and summer breaks to build and implement the water and sanitation structures.

Having been an integral part of the organization for the past two years, Adrianna will be traveling with other student members this summer to Kenya to help make the aspiration for clean water a reality.

With a little over three years until she obtains her degree, Adrianna will undoubtedly continue her adventures into the artistic elements of the world, all the while remaining rooted in the scientific realm.
