Gabby's Travels In This Rocky World

Gabby's travels began with her journey west to come to college. Dwelling amidst gorgeous mountains, she takes great delight in going on hikes and exploring the treasures and stories they hold. Her passion for academics and personal drive have led her to a number of extraordinary opportunities. This past summer she spent a month and a half in China experiencing the culture and doing extensive research, which she continued throughout the following academic year. Her favorite part about China shockingly was the food, apparently the soups and eggplant dishes the Chinese prepared were delicious! I'm still unconvinced...

Gabby has also spent a couple weeks doing field work on a glacier in Canada. Carrying equipment and trekking for hours both to and from the glacier every day, it was a challenging adventure that was highly rewarding.

Without leaving campus, Gabby has also been a TA for a Geology course, which she loved as she was able to candidly share her love of rocks with fellow rock lovers. It also coincides perfectly with her future aspirations to one day be a college professor who spends her days teaching, researching, and writing publications so that the whole world can better understand why they too should love rocks. Yes, Gabby is well on her way in this rocky world...
